FAQ'S
What is a commercial usage license?
- It is a standard licensing option for organizations and business entities. Licenses for the images purchased can be used by any single person within the organization or business. The copyright belongs to the image maker.
What is the difference between a personal use license and a commercial usage license?
- Personal use is not to be used for profit or commercial gain. Examples of these projects are personal invitations or family photos. Whereas commercial or for-profit use is intended for promotional, marketing, or advertising of a service, person, or business.
What is the difference between branding and marketing?
- Branding is who you are.....and marketing is how you build awareness. Branding is your core values, the way you make someone feel, and your connection to people while marketing encompasses a plan of action to connect with your target audience.
What is the difference between commercial photography and branding photography?
- Commercial photography focuses on the product and freezes a moment in time for you to see the product and company. Commercial shoots are less personal and all images may be taken in the same environment. Branding photography is a more personable approach to showcasing you and your business in a natural and candid way.
What does copyright mean?
- Copyright is defined as the exclusive legal right to reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute the matter and form of something usually literary, musical, or artistic. It is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive right to copy, distribute, adapt, and display creative work. In terms of images from a branding session, the copyright belongs to the photographer (the creator of the intellectual property) and sells you, the buyer, the right to use the intellectual property in the manner determined between buyer & seller.
How do I know the correct file size for use for my different promotional needs?
- I take all the stress out of figuring out the correct file sizes for the different social media platforms you use, website files, and print file needs. I resize the images in the correct format and file size so all you have to do is go to your image folder and get the image you are looking for.
What is the difference between an environmental portrait and a professional headshot?
- Environmental portraits make use of the background in a particular setting to tell a story about a person's profession and can be taken in either an indoor or outdoor location. Professional headshots are taken against a backdrop usually in a studio setting.
